Como Engineers travelled to the Shanta Mining – Singida site in Tanzania recently.
Singida is in the Ikungi district, Singida region of Central Tanzania. Como Engineers installed and commissioned a 2 Tonne Pressure Zadra elution plant, gold room design and a 100 kg/hr regeneration kiln for this operation in Q1 2023. This was a key component for transforming Shanta Gold into a +100,000 oz/pa producer with a diversified resource base.
Jayden Sheridan (Senior Project Engineer) was responsible for assisting with the site commissioning of the Pressure Zadra plant in 2023 and was keen to get back and see how it looked two years later. He also provided technical assistance and some further training for operators while at the site.
“It was good to see how the plant was performing after 2 years in the field and hear the operators’ perspectives on what they liked about the plant” said Jayden, he then added “The site looked really good – it is clear that they take great pride in what they do”
