The Shanta Mining Company Limited operates the Singida Gold Project located in the Lupa Goldfields of the Songwe District of Central Tanzania.

Singida is Shanta’s second operating mine in Tanzania, combined with the existing operation (New Luika) will make Shanta a +100,000 oz per annum gold producer.

Como Engineers provided the complete 2 Tonne Modular Pressure Zadra Gold Elution Plant, which when broken down for transport, comprised only seven sea containers.   The regeneration kiln (supplied by Custom Furnaces) was transported directly from South Africa to Tanzania.

The image above shows the heater/tank skid module being manoeuvred into place.

The modular nature of the Como plants make them easier to ship, store, construct and commission on site saving time and money.

First gold pour of 35 ounces was successfully conducted at Singida on March 30th 2023.
