Binduli North Gold Project Pressure Zadra Elution Plant

Como Engineers were engaged to supply a 5T Modular PLC Automated Pressure Zadra Elution System with a 250kg/h LPG fired kiln supplied by our long-term partner Custom Furnaces, including the carbon regeneration structure, feed hopper, quench tank and ancillary equipment.

The scope included the design of the modular gold room, including the supply of furnace, safe, gold smelting drying oven and other gold room equipment.

The Elution plant was designed, fabricated, assembled and hot run tested in Perth, prior to its disassembly, packing and delivery by truck to site.  The Carbon Regeneration Kiln, hoppers and chutes were fabricated in South Africa and shipped to site.

The elution system included a 1200kW Direct Eluate LPG fired Heating system with full PLC control of all elution and electrowinning process steps.  A closed loop cooling system, among other adaptations, was introduced to reduce the client’s water usage.

This system was manufactured to Como’s latest design with an emphasis on safety and modularity, saving time during site installation.
