Como Engineers were approached to provide a PLC automated 100kg/hr LPG fired carbon regeneration kiln installation to replace the existing inefficient vertical style regeneration system which had been achieving poor regenerated carbon activities.

The kiln installation came complete with quenching and carbon conditioning systems allowing for automated transfer of the carbon out of the quench tank when the system reached high level. Designed to integrate into the existing feed structure the system and structural came as a modular deconstructed assembly having already been prior assembled at Como’s workshop.

The modular design enabled site installation and commissioning to be completed within four weeks.

Initial tests of the new regenerated carbon obtained carbon activities of 90-95%.
