Chatree Gold Plant Refurbishment

Kingsgate Consolidated Limited approached Como Engineers to assist with the restarting of the Chatree Gold Plant 2.  The treatment plant had been mothballed for 6 years.

Como Engineers initially provided a capital cost review to re establish the operation.  Como Engineers then provided Project Management and Supervision services (both remotely and in country) to facilitate the recommissioning of the Chatree Gold Plant 2.

Como Engineers worked with the client’s Thai engineers as well as local contractors to return the plant back to nameplate capacity (2.7 Mtpa).

The scope of work included rebuild of platework of chutes, hoppers, screens, piping, electrical and instrumentation.

Mechanical Works:

Chutes, screens, cyclones, thickener, wet screens and carbon safety screen.

Piping:

Slurry lines, process, raw and potable water lines and valve replacement.

Electrical and Instrumentation:

Plant area distribution panels, cable replacement, full instrumentation inspection/replacement.
