In September Groupe Managem announced the first gold pour at the Boto mine, located in the Kédougou region of Senegal.
This major milestone marks the start of production, culminating more than two years of work and confirming Groupe Managem’s gold strategy in West Africa.
With an expected production of 160,000 ounces/year over the first three years and a projected lifespan of 12 years, Boto is establishing itself as one of Senegal’s most important mining projects.
Boto, was designed as a real lever for sustainable development, contributes to access to drinking water, the strengthening of health infrastructure, the training of young people and women, and the deployment of income-generating programmes for the benefit of local communities.
Como Engineers are proud to have supplied a 5T Pressure Zadra modular gold elution plant to Boto.
