Como Engineers travelled to Senegal for the commissioning of a 5 Tonne Pressure Zadra (PZ) modular gold elution plant.
The Boto Gold Project is located in the eastern part of Senegal, close to the borders of Mali and Guinea, and at 88 km from the city of Kédougou.
The plant was built in our Perth workshop, pre assembled and pre commissioned prior to being shipped to site in twenty 40″ sea containers. A further four sea containers were shipped from China (bag house), Indonesia (structural steel) and South Africa (regeneration kiln).
The ore will be processed in a CIP plant at an annual capacity of 2.75 million tons. Average production expected during the first three years is around 170,000 ounces of gold per year, and for the entire Life of Mine (LOM) around 128,000 ounces per year.
The Boto project has completed the construction phase with the plant commissioning well advanced.
This becomes our second gold elution plant supplied to Senegal (the previous one being the Perseus Mining Sissingue project).
