The last container for the Kouroussa Gold Mine 4 Tonne Pressure Zadra Gold Elution Plant has been dispatched from the Como Engineers workshop facility in Perth to the Hummingbird Resources Mine site in Guinea.

Como Engineers were able to work closely with the client’s engineer to customise the supply of equipment to provide the optimal supply package.

The scope of work was for equipment supply, which included:

  • 4 Tonne Elution Column
  • 4 Tonne Acid Wash Column
  • 1,000 kW Elution Heater  which included a package diesel burner
  • Elution and jacking pumps
  • Control panel
  • Flash pot
  • Valving and instrumentation

Como Engineers are modular elution plant specialists.  While this is not a complete supplied gold elution plant, we have used the same principles to ensure we optimised the process while saving money for our client in the design and delivery of this project out of our Perth workshop.

Stewart Gillam (Como Engineers Projects Manager) was asked about this latest delivery.  He said,

“It has been a very rewarding process to pull together the various elements of this project.  The owner is based in the UK, their engineer in Canada and we have provided this package out of Australia to a minesite in Guinea – that’s a great example of how we can work with different geographies collaboratively.”  Stewart added “We could not have done this without the valued input of our Canadian based agent – PacificOra.”

That’s the Como Engineers difference.
