Söğüt Gold Project CIL/CIP Plant Detailed Design
Gubretas Maden are developing the Söğüt Gold Mine located in central Turkey.
Mining operations will be both Open Cut and Underground and the processing plant expects to treat 34t/hr of ore in its initial operational phase, treating the Korudanlik mineralisation.
Como Engineers was awarded the contract to supply a Detailed Design for the plant which included crushing, milling, gravity separation, CIL, elution and tailings discharge. The gold plant design will incorporate a Como Engineers modular gold elution plant.
In Söğüt, the summers are warm, dry, and clear and the winters are very cold, snowy, and partly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from -3°C to 29°C but is rarely below -9°C or above 34°C. The design did however, need to accommodate for snow loading of structures.
The plant utilised a high degree of electrically powered equipment for the eluate heating, carbon regeneration, drying oven and smelting furnace.
Work was conducted as an EPC contract
