Como Engineers are pleased to report that the factory commissioning and hot testing of the Shanta Mining Company Limited Gold Elution plant, destined for the Singida Gold Project located in the Lupa Goldfields of the Songwe District of Central Tanzania, has now been completed, and the plant is shipping to site.

Singida will be Shanta’s second operating mine in Tanzania.  This combined with the existing operation (New Luika) will make Shanta a +100,000 oz per annum producer.

Como Engineers have provided a complete 2 Tonne Modular Pressure Zadra Gold Elution Plant, which when broken down for transport , comprised only seven sea containers.    The regeneration kiln (supplied by Custom Furnaces) has been transported directly from South Africa to Tanzania.  The modular nature of our plants make it easier to ship, store, construct and commission on site saving time and money.

The foundations for the gold room have already been poured onsite.

Como Engineers are proud to be able to support Shanta for the development of the Singida operation which is scheduled for first gold production in early 2023.
