Como completes Stage 1 Upgrade at Lakewood Plant for Silver Lake Resources in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. March 2010. The $4M Stage 1 project included the installation of a 12metre thickener, a 750 cubic metre Leach tank, a 250 cubic metre CIL tank, new cyclones, a carbon inter-stage screen and agitator wet ends.

Como Engineers completes upgrade at Challenger Mine Site in South Australia

Como Engineers completes upgrade at Challenger Mine Site in South Australia for Dominion Gold Operations on budget and on schedule. This $6M project at the most remote mine in Australia follows on from the original build that Como Engineers did for Dominion Gold Operations in 2002. The upgrade increased the throughput of the Challenger Processing Plant from 42 tonnes per hours (tph) dry ore to 64 tph. The Project included installation of a regrind mill and MCC, a 12 metre thickener, modification of the cyclone cluster, a new leach tank and trash screen structure on the LTI, modification of the gravity circuit and installation of an 850kw underground fan.

First Gold Pour at Three Mile Hill Gold Plant in Coolgardie

First Gold Pour at Three Mile Hill Gold Plant in Coolgardie for Focus Minerals following the successful $17M Upgrade and Refurbishment by Como Engineers. The large complete Project Management contract saw Como Engineers upgrade, rebuild and refurbish a gold processing plant that had been on care and maintenance for five years. The Mile Hill Project commenced in May 2009, with practical completion in January 2010. Included in the  project was the installation of a new Stripping Plant and Regeneration Kiln, upgrading the circuit with three new TRIO crushers, complete dismantling and rebuilding of the Fine Ore Bin, complete replacement of the Ball Mill foundations and complete refurbishment of the twin drive trains.
