Carbon Stripping & Acid Washing
Como Engineers IPS technology is utilised for gold recovery. Currently the plant allows for stripping batches up to 4 tonne using 2 x 2 tonne capacity elution columns.
Rubber lined acid wash vessels allow the carbon to be acid washed prior to stripping if required.
About IPS
Como Engineers Integral Pressure Stripping (IPS) process continues to win acceptance at the more discerning end of a very tight market.
The cyanide free IPS system has a fully enclosed, pressurised electrowinning cell which, as well as giving faster and more efficient electrowinning, and a fume free environment, offers unsurpassed safety and security for the gold on the cathodes.
The high pressure Zadra process is a well proven method of stripping gold from carbon and with the addition of a pressurised cell, makes for an extremely fast and economical method of gold recovery. As the circuit is completely sealed the temperature is constant, there is little heat loss and reagent consumption is a minimum. The power, fuel and reagent savings result in the cheapest elution cost per ounce of gold that is available.
Site civil and concrete work is minimised, as only compacted earth, strip footings, or a simple slab is required.
Site assembly and commissioning is very fast, as most of the usual site fabrication, piping and electrical work has already been completed.
The residual value of the plant is enhanced, as it can be easily relocated to a new site. Several of our plants are now at their third or fourth location.
