Screening and Packaging FeV Plant
Como Engineers was awarded the contract to undertake the detail design and commissioning of the screening and Packaging Plant for Windimurra’s ferrovanadium product.
Como is to supply a fit for purpose conveying, screening and packaging facility which connects with a new crushing plant installed by Windimurra.
The packaging plant is designed to operate at 3 tonnes per hour with a utilisation of 10 hours per day resulting in the required rate of 30 tonnes per day.
The plant was designed using a modular design to allow for pre assembly and then disassembled for transportation to site.
The process consists of :
A screening station which has a triple deck screen provided by Windimurra, Three bins which store the product which acts as a feed to the packaging plant.
A packaging plant which is vendor supplied which is capable of packing both 205 litre drums and bulka bags.
The Packaging system incorporates feed from both the coarse and fine product bins with a final composition of 95% (by weight) course product and 5% fines products.
The Packaging plant is controlled by its own PLC.
The entire design incorporates a dust collection system from points to a central dust collector for placement into bags outside of the enclosed building.
All conveyors used are Sanki supplied conveyors.
